Ronja Rövardotter

The Astrid Lindgren timeless classic paired with renowned Studio Ghibli was a dream project from the start. Ronja Rövardotter is a story about independency and about children's power to take care of themselves. Together with Stockholm Design Lab we shaped the graphic identity behind the new Ronja TV-series focus on this ability; to be able to express who you are, with what's available. In Ronjas case, she uses her dearest objects from the forest to tell you who she is.

Different size versions were developed with both positive and negative variations in order to cover all types of usage.

From highly detailed for big print to the smallest roughest version for crude textile embroidery.

The different wordmarks were developed together with a set of repeatable patterns in order to be used in a wide range of applications. Like the word mark they are playful examples of how forest objects can express Ronjas inner personality.
